Each day at Oliverian is a new discovery, not only because students grow and change on a regular basis but because every single student at Oliverian has had their own path to get here, will experience their own journey while being here, and will likely strike out on their own individual path moving forward. I don’t think there’s any such thing as the bell curve when it comes to an Ollie student. I guess that’s what makes the work a daily adventure. I try to approach my work in that way: What can I discover about each student each day? And what can I discover about myself as I try to help students find their way?
