Executive Chef and Culinary Arts Instructor, graduated from Union College in 2009 earning an interdisciplinary BA in philosophy and in English, with a focus on naturalist writing and environmental ethics. Almost all of Ben’s postgraduate education has been experiential.
Before coming to Oliverian, Ben worked as operations manager and head chef at the Jonesville Store in Clifton Park, New York, and owner and operator of a gourmet food truck out of Saratoga Springs, NY. Ben continues to fervently manifest his own naturalist philosophy by working with local farmers and purveyors, procuring only the highest quality and responsibly raised produce possible, and he works each day to impart lessons on healthy living to the community.

What motivates you to work with kids? “I enjoy working with young people to substantiate a fundamental law: If we put good things into our bodies, we will get good things out of our bodies.”
