Creating hope and resilience
December 9, 2020

Today we collected turkey eggs from Jenny the turkey for the first time! They’re little, but next spring she’ll be ready to sit on a nest! Collecting chicken eggs and turkey eggs is something to look forward to every day in the midst of a difficult time. And knowing that our turkey will be ready to sit on eggs in the spring is another thing to hope for. Having hope every day, thinking about something to look forward to, is an important way to shift your mindset in times of struggle. At Oliverian we are actively trying to help our students reframe a difficult moment, look towards the future, dig deep and build resilience. It’s the time of giving, hope, love and peace.
