In “Eat, Drink, and Be Roman”, students get a taste of what being a Roman was like by cooking up some Ancient Roman cuisine, including flat bread, olive tapenade, and a ricotta cheese and herb spread! A Roman diet was largely based around foods that grew well in their Mediterranean climate, as well as foods that are calorically rich, and those that store well.
