Our People

Addison Wanner

Merrill Dorm Parent

Originally from Lyme, New Hampshire, Addison has deep roots in the Oliverian community, having grown up around Oliverian School while his father, Brett, served as a music teacher here for nearly 15 years. Addison returned to Oliverian in a new role, bringing with him a unique combination of academic, editorial, and outdoor experience.

Addison earned his master’s degree from King’s College London, where he studied Arts, Contemporary Literature, Culture, and Theory. He has also served as an editorial peer reviewer for the Open Journal of Political Science.

Over the past several years, Addison has worked with the Appalachian Mountain Club in the White Mountains, including more than two years as a winter huts caretaker. Most recently, he spent the summer working as a gardener in Boston. His extensive time in the outdoors will bring valuable knowledge, enthusiasm, and perspective to the Oliverian community.

Outside of work, Addison loves music, art, and the outdoors, and he’s excited to be back in the mountains and beginning this new chapter at Oliverian.
