Anyone who has turned 18 understands these sentiments.
Here at Oliverian, we create opportunities for young adults to learn what it means to be 18 and to be recognized as an adult.
We teach that there is a direct correlation between increased responsibilities and increased freedoms. We also teach that when freedoms and responsibilities are broken, access to freedoms are also restricted. These are tough lessons to learn that are inevitably messy and challenging.
We teach both families and students how to reduce accommodations so that each person can gain more freedoms and be the most independent person they are capable of and desire.
It is tough growing up and learning that freedoms come with risks and responsibilities. We provide a loving envelope to surround students when they get it right for us to celebrate and when they get it wrong for us to recover with them.
