Inter-disciplinary classes at Oli help students expand their thinking outside of the classroom. One of the goals is to relate science to the things our students love. Food is a practical application that every student can relate to in some way that makes the academics relevant. We used mixtures and physical/chemical changes in food to visualize science concepts and then paired with the culinary class to bake brownies!
