George Hathorn grew up in the Upper Valley and studied at the Boston Architectural College. He later received two degrees from Yale University. He served as Dartmouth College’s founding College Architect for thirty years, and has designed hundreds of residential properties over his fifty-year career. He currently resides in Hanover, New Hampshire with his wife Mary Lou, where they raised their blended family of five children. So far, they have eleven grandchildren!
In retirement, George enjoys working on his property, working out, playing pickle ball, reading, and spending time with family. He has enjoyed several volunteer experiences over the years and has had memberships in several organizations including serving as President of the local Rotary Club.
