Who wouldn’t love taste-testing chocolate for math credit? Does the amount of time between consumption of different Hershey’s kiss flavors impact tastebud accuracy? A Statistics student aims to answer this question by running a single blind taste test of Hershey’s kiss flavors. 

As the end of the school year approached, Statistics class worked hard to create and complete final projects. These projects highlight what students have learned throughout the past year, and allow them to craft a project that focuses on answering an interesting question.

At the core of the Oliverian mathematics curriculum is the concept that students develop their mathematical thinking by applying abstract concepts in real and meaningful ways. Our small class sizes, coaching-heavy approach, and the inclusion of projects and real-world application makes math approachable even for those students who have struggled with math studies in the past.
