Here in the Oliverian Valley, the leaves have fallen and Mt. Moosilauke, with its white cap, rises majestically above the green valley, speckled with early winter snow, which comes and goes almost as easily as the wind some days – winter is abundantly upon us!
Fall has arrived, and truthfully, has almost gone here in the Oliverian Valley, and our students and staff have taken every advantage of the beautiful autumnal weather we’ve experienced. Recently, students took part in our Fall Electives Week classes, dabbling in a car engine, meandering through Northern New England’s haunted havens, visiting with renowned local poets, preparing for the SATs, debating pop culture’s most notorious conspiracy theories, and climbing their way through much of the White Mountains.
Our students have started the year off strong, already hiking up Mt. Moosilauke, attending a college fair in Southern NH, and diving deep into Engineering concepts with paper tower models. Other classes such as Adventure Inventions, Homesteading, Advanced Spanish, Eco-Writers, Psychology, and Calculus keep our students busy but still able to enjoy the annual trip to Funspot, shopping in North Conway, hiking in Franconia State Park, and apple picking at Windy Ridge.
